WORKSHOPS

In the coming days, April 19, 20 and 21 – 10:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Fernando Pessoa University, the workshop THE POSSIBLE MULTIFORMS OF THE SELF IN CINEMA will be held by Maria Clara Escobar.

In this workshop, participants will be able to deepen the history of the idea of the “I” and the “other” in cinema, through examples and case studies, in an attempt to think about what are the forms of self-portrait, representation and encounter when a movie is built. Be it documentary or fiction.

Maria Clara Escobar is a Portuguese-Brazilian director, screenwriter and poet.

On the 22nd of April, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, participants will be able to register for the workshop PREPARE AN APPLICATION TO APPLY FOR AUDIOVISUAL FUNDS with tutoring by Andreia Nunes.

This workshop will take place at Casa das Associações in Porto and participants will be able to identify which financing line is most appropriate to the characteristics of the project and which procedures to adopt for its presentation. Analysis of participants’ projects for direct application of shared knowledge.

Andreia Nunes studied Cinema at Universidade Lusófona, and has been complementing her training with different courses, including: Film Financing in an Entrepreneurial Age with Paul Miller; Film Producing and Financing with Gareth Wiley; Training in Sustainable Management of Audiovisual Production – Green consultants with Dörte Schneider.

 

To participate in the workshops, simply register on the festival’s website. Only this last workshop has a registration fee, with a discount for students in the Cinema area of partner schools.

NOTE:  both workshops will be held in Portuguese.
