Program
WELCOME MESSAGE
The Organizing Committee welcomes you to the first edition of Cine Bárbaras – International Conference on Cinema and Audiovisual, taking place on October 23 and 24, 2025, at Universidade Lusófona – Porto University Centre.
This gathering opens a space for critical reflection around gender studies and feminist film theories, valuing the multiple voices and practices that shape and transform the contemporary audiovisual landscape.
Over two days, a plural and inclusive programme invites dialogue: parallel sessions exploring diverse perspectives on the central themes, two plenary sessions featuring renowned keynote speakers, a bilingual workshop, and the screening of a documentary followed by a conversation with its directors.
We invite all people to join us in reimagining cinema as a space of resistance, creation, and transformation. May these days be fertile in sharing, listening, inspiration and, who knows, even new collaborations.
