CARA TRANCADA is Carolina, a passionate illustrator and a so-so designer.
This project rises with the need to deconstruct certain taboos around sexuality (women’s and so on). It’s a personal project, an alter-ego of a not that extrovert girl, that arose with her curiosity about her sexuality, her relationship with herself and others; her body and others’; her experiences and fantasies, and others’.
Seeking to represent the female body as a symbol of empowerment and sexuality, something that’s inherent to us; scenes of everyday life, which elevate us to bigger matters, through irony, meaning to break barriers and questioning stigmas.
Plus she always had a thing for drawing naked girls and boobies
Clara Não is a illustrator and writer who lives at Bonfim, Porto.
Não stands out for her irreverent illustrations, where she explores her personal experiences and ambidextrous writing. With humor in her words, and tenderness in her heart, Clara’s work focus on constructing ideas through writing, on paper, textile, windowpanes, and around town Não likes to write on crosswalks, she was featured on several platforms, like Vogue, and sometimes forgets to pee.

PLEASURE IS ALL MINE
Inauguration the 19th of June at 18:30
Cara Trancada and Clara Não present a series of drawings and illustrations, in which they explore, from personal perspectives, the definition and the taboo of sex This question leads them, for example, to reflect on the penetration / masturbation vs. pleasure. They intend to deconstruct the aversion to the very word “vagina”; and the approach of female masturbation as something normal and important for the self-knowledgment of the body. It is necessary to decompose and normalize the way we see the woman and the body in their sexuality. The pleasure must be valued, privileged and spoken. Pleasure is all ours!
