ANABELA OLIVEIRA
Assistant professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and researcher at Labcom. Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, she guides her scientific research in the scope of interartistic studies, namely in the relations between literature and cinema, literature and architecture, and also in the cinematography of Manoel de Oliveira, Fellini, and Jacques Tati. She teaches several seminars in the field of film discourse analysis and the dialogic relations between cinema and other arts. She has presented papers in multiple colloquia and publications in national and international magazines. She participated in conferences at the universities of Paris III, Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Utrecht, Warsaw, Lublin and Gdansk. Participation in juries and workshops at film festivals and film school exhibitions (Avanca, MIFEC, Ourense Film Festival, Festfilm-Montpellier, Cinanima, São Tomé Film Fest. Arroios Film Festival, Porto Femme International Film Festival) and in the national juries of ICA (2014-2019). Director of RIOS - International Documentary and Transmedia Film Festival. Author of the books Entre Vozes e Imagens - a presença das imagens cinematográficas nas múltiplas vozes do romance português (anos 70-90), Porto, Edições Pena Perfeita, 2007 and Federico Fellini - a inevitabilidade da arte, Editora DebatEvolution, 2020.

CLÁUDIA MARISA
Cláudia Marisa. Coordinating Professor at the School of Music and Performing Arts. Researcher at the Institute of Sociology at UP. PhD in Human Motricity - Dance (FMH), with a master's degree in Sociology (FLUP), a bachelor's degree in Theater (ESMAE), a degree in Sociology (FLUP). She has numerous publications in the field of Aesthetics, Performance Analysis and Sociology of the Body. Since 1993, she has participated in colloquia, meetings and festivals, having presented numerous communications in different Portuguese institutions, as well as in foreign institutions. At the same time, she has been developing her professional artistic activity, since 1994, as a director, choreographer and performer, in collaboration with numerous theaters and festivals.

TERESA VIEIRA
Cultural journalist (Antena 3) and film critic (Cineuropa, À Pala de Walsh) with a Masters in Communication and Arts from FCSH/NOVA (thesis on Lithuanian poetic documentary cinema of the 90s). Programmer of BEAST IFF (Porto), Board Member of Associação Plus East and collaborator in several Portuguese film festivals in different roles. In her spare time she dedicates herself to sound art and dj sets experiences.

VERA CARMO
Vera Carmo is an independent researcher and curator. Graduated in Fine Arts and Master in Museological and Curatorial Studies from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. She is currently a doctoral student at the same institution developing the thesis "Towards a genealogy of video in the visual arts: Video Art in Portugal 1979-2019". From 2019 to 2020, she was a researcher in the project "CineVideoArt - Catalog of Films and Videos of Portuguese Artists", dedicated to the moving image in the field of plastic arts. Professor at the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI). Integrates the direction of Rampa (Porto, Portugal). The most recent curatorial projects include "Guerrilla Shout-Out!" (Rampa, Porto, 2022), "Transubstantiation" (Poste Videoarte, Porto, 2021-2022) and "What do U Want 4 Xmas?" (Ramp, Porto, 2020-2021)

VICKA DURAN
Vicka Duran, atriz, criadora e produtora. É diretora do CONOFEST - Festival Internacional de Curtas. Estreou a sua primeira curta-metragem Entrar en el armario no Mostra Out - Cinema de diversitat afectiva de les Balears 19'. Foi membro do júri nos festivais En Vi-U 20' Microtheatre Festival , Formentera Film Festival 21', Anotherway Film Festival 21', Festival de Cine de Madrid 21', Mecal Barcelona 22’. Atualmente é Coordenadora Gerente do Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival 2022 e produtora na produtora Moviescreens España.

YUSUF BAHAR
After studying cinema at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Academy, Yusuf has begun working in the film industry as an assistant director. He has worked in numerous film festivals in and outside Turkey, as a jury and guest speaker. In 2010 he founded KATADROM Arts Culture and Social Politics Association, with the same team he has been organizing and designing the Int' Changing Perspective Film Festival for 10 years. For the past 11 years he has been working as a youth worker to disseminate and promote film/animation education for the underprivileged communities, such as immigrants, Romani and Kurdish children in the rural parts of Turkey.

ANA CATARINA PEREIRA
Ana Catarina Pereira is a teacher at the arts and letters faculty at Beira Interior University, she has a Ph.D. in Communication Science from the same university. She currently coordinates the project filming yourself and seeing yourself in the mirror: the use of writing by Portuguese-speaking documentary filmmakers, funded by FCT, with a large team of researchers from Portugal and Brazil. She is a member of UBI’s Equality Commission and she’s a LabCom researcher, she has a degree in Communication Science from Lisbon New University and has a master’s degree in Human Rights from Salamanca University. She is the author of two books, A Mulher-Cineasta: Da arte pela arte a uma estética da diferenciação and Estudo do Tecido Operário Têxtil da Cova da Beira. Ana Catarina co-organized the works Cinema e Outras Artes (volumes I, II, and III), Movies (Ir) refletidos, UBICinema 2007/2017, Geração invisível: Os novos cineastas portugueses, e Colectânea de Poesia - Poetas do Fundão, she is also the author of several scientific articles published in national and international magazines. She is curator and jury of several film festivals; One of the founders of the International Conference on Film and Other Arts, held annually at UBI; and coordinator of the Sopcom’s Film Studies GT. She worked for several years as a journalist, collaborating with Focus magazines, Notícias Sábado and Notícias Magazine (Diário de Notícias), Jornal I, among others. She founded and directed the online magazine Magnetic Magazine and was director of the Culture Sciences (UBI) course.

CARLA CERQUEIRA
Carla Cerqueira, PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho (2012), is an Assistant Professor at the Lusófona University and an integrated researcher at CICANT - Research Center in Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies. Her research areas are gender, feminisms, activism, intersectionality, media and communication. She has published in national and international journals and books, participated in conferences and research and action projects, both as a researcher and as a consultant. She is currently the Principal Investigator of the projects "FEMglocal - Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions (PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021) and "Voices in Network: participation of women in development processes (COFAC/ILIND/CICANT/1/ 2021). She is also a researcher in the following research projects: YouNDigital - Youth, News and Digital Citizenship (PTDC/COM-OUT/0243/2021); Gender in Hate Pandemics: Social Media, Covid 19 and Women Journalists (FCT ID 758936851); MigraMediaActs - Migrations, media and activism in Portuguese: decolonizing media landscapes and imagining alternative futures” (PTDC/COM-CSS/3121/2021), SPECULUM - Filming oneself and seeing oneself in the mirror: the use of self-writing by Portuguese-language documentarians (EXPL/ART-CRT/0231/2021) and IMLab - The Joacine Katar Moreira Case Study (CICANT/Researcher/2020). She is coordinator of the Research and Policy group at GAMAG - Global Alliance on Media and Gender and is part of the board of APEM - Portuguese Association for Studies on Women.

MARIA JOSÉ MAGALHÃES
Assistant Professor at FPCEUP, researcher at CIEG and at CIIE, PhD in educational sciences. She received the Carolina Michaelis de Vasconcelos research prize on Women's Studies (1990), and has several scientific publications (books and articles in national and international journals). The main areas of research focus on gender studies, feminism, social movements and gender violence (including femicide). She led the international project “Bystanders: developing bystanders responses to sexual harassment among young people” (prevention of sexual harassment. Principal Investigator of the CEINAV International Project (2013-2016), member of the European Observatory of Femicide (2018-) and founder and scientific coordinator of the UMAR Murdered Women's Observatory, OMA-UMAR (2004-2010) Currently,
coordinates the BO(U)NDS Project – Ties and Limits: longitudinal study on the prevention of gender violence in schools (funded by the FCT) and coordinates the ART'THEMIS+UMAR Project, with funding from the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality of gender. She also coordinates the international project FEM_United: Preventing femicide in Europe. She has also developed, together with other researchers, research in the field of feminist art criticism, including projects and published articles.
NATIONAL COMPETITION

ANA CARNEIRO
Ana Carneiro (Braga, 1985) has a degree in Cinema and Video by the Escola Superior Artística do Porto. She has worked in the area of directing and production of some short films, advertisements and documentaries. In 2013 she joined the initial team of the Porto Cine-Club at Casa das Artes. In 2015 she started as the programmer of the project "Cinema at Casa das Artes", a position she combines with the production of the sessions. Since then, she has programmed more than 50 monthly film cycles in addition to special sessions such as Boris' Nights, open-air cinema sessions. Her duties also include communication and management of the Film Society's social networks and the production of promotional videos. Since 2021 she has been president of the board of Film Society of Porto’s directors.

MARIA JOÃO CORTESÃO
Maria João Cortesão, was born in Coimbra in 1970. Professor at the School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD) of the Polytechnic of Porto (Porto), she has a PhD in Information Sciences, specializing in advertising communication. Her research focuses on the relationship between advertising and cinema and also on the analysis of film and photographic discourse. She teaches in the master's degree of Audiovisual Communication in the Specialization in Audiovisual Production and Realization, in the degree of Technology of Audiovisual Communication and in the degree of Photography. Member of the Scientific Committee and of the Reading Committee of the International Meeting - The Cinema and the other Arts. Member of the Jury of the contests - Support for the Realization of Training Activities for Children and Youth and Support for the Production of Animated Feature Films, of the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), 2021. Member of the Federation of Film and Audiovisual Schools (FECA), as Vice-President. Participation in juries and workshops in film festivals and screenings (Avanca, MIFEC, O Cinema e as Outras Artes and FEST), and in the national juries of the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), 2021. Producer of Images of the Real Imagined (IRI) - Photography, Film and Multimedia Cycle (2015 to 2019).

MIGUEL SOARES
Miguel Soares is a journalist, director and author of programs and podcasts on the radio Gazeta Journalism Prize 2019-2020. He edits and is the voice of the morning news on Antena 1. He presents the weekly Old Friends and Verdes Anos on the public station. For several years he wrote regularly in the press about music and cinema. Theme of the monograph with which he graduated. Master in Documentary Cinema from IPCI.

JÉSSICA PESTANA
Jéssica Pestana was born in Valença do Minho, 1993. She studied violin at the Conservatory of Music of Tui until 2004. At the University of Coimbra, she deepened her interest in cinema and its literacy - she graduated in Art Studies (2011-2014) and obtained a Master's degree, at the same university, in Film and Image Studies (2014). -2016), with a thesis dedicated to cinema and pedagogy. She graduated in Curatorship of Contemporary Art (2018-2019) from FCSH - Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she is currently attending a second master's degree in Women's Studies. She worked in the commercial distribution of several Portuguese films: A Toca do Lobo by Catarina Mourão in 2016, Colo by Teresa Villaverde in 2018 and A Metamorfose dos Pássaros by Catarina Vasconcelos in 2021. She is currently a programmer at IndieJunior Porto International Film Festival for Children and Youth and of short films at IndieLisboa - Lisbon International Film Festival. She also collaborates with Portugal Film - Agência Internacional de Cinema Português, dedicating her time to the international promotion of national cinematographic production.

MANUELA MATOS MONTEIRO
Manuela Matos Monteiro has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Porto. She performed several consulting and auditing functions in the ME. She is a trainer of trainers in the area of Project Work Methodology, among others. She is the author of several manuals for secondary education (Porto Editora) in the areas of Psychology, Psychosociology and Pedagogy. She coordinated NETPROF - Clube dos Professores Portugueses na Internet and directed the magazine 2:PONTOS. In addition to congress and conference publications with communications in various articles and essays by various authors related to participation and psychology.
She recognizes herself as a social activist recognizing in feminism a cause present throughout her life. She was co-founder in the late 70s of the GAMP – Autonomous Group of Women of Porto – a group that played an important role in the fight for the legalization of abortion and access to contraception.
She has been developing photographic work since the 70s, having participated in collective and individual exhibitions. She has won several prizes in competitions and has exhibited in Portugal, Mozambique (Maputo and Beira), France (Paris and Bordeaux), Brussels (European Parliament), Florence, Berlin (two photography biennials 2013 and 2016), Rome, Miami, Kansas City , Barcelona among others. She has been the jury of several international and national photography and video competitions. She has curated several exhibitions. She is, with João Lafuente, since 2019 curator and organizer of the Photography Cycle of Lamego and Vale do Varosa.
Since 2013, with João Lafuente, she has directed the Espaço MIRA and MIRA FORUM galleries and since April 2017 the MIRA | Performing arts.

THAIS MENEZES
Thais de Menezes is Brazilian, currently living in Porto, taking a Master's degree in Art History at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and graduated in Dance at Faculdade Angel Vianna (RJ). Her works move between performance and visual arts, which have already been presented at Sesc, Galeria Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro), Curitiba Biennial, MASP (São Paulo), Centro Cultural São Paulo, among others. Since 2012, she has worked with the collective Desdito with the philosopher Fabio de Oliveira, as well as establishing directing and curatorial partnerships with other artists such as Leandro Souza, Patricia Bergantin and Danilo Patzdorf. She is an invited artist and structuring member of the Extension Course Cinema in Colors at the Fluminense Federal University in Santo Antônio de Pádua and articulates the ATRAVESSA project in Porto in her studio, establishing research conditions for young artists. Establishing fissured dialectics between subject, choreography, genre, city, body, has been a recurring interest in her works with a decolonial contribution.
