Sinopse
Gabi acredita na sua capacidade de agir perante momentos de injustiça. Ao descobrir que o seu irmão, Daniel, está a ser intimidado por um grupo de rapazes da vizinhança. Biography
Born in Porto (Portugal) in 1994, Tomás Paula Marques studied Directing in Lisbon Theatre and Film School. She worked in editing with directors like João Pedro Rodrigues, Cristiana Cruz Forte and Daniel Veloso. She is currently finishing a Master's degree in Filmmaking at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola and developing her first feature film.

Synopsis

Biography
Ágata de Pinho was born in Porto in 1989 and for the past decade of her life has been bound to theatre and film. Recently, in film, besides continuing her work as an actor in short and feature films, Ágata has been devoting more time to writing and creating.

Biography
Mariana Bártolo (Porto, 1987) lives between Germany and Portugal. She is a filmmaker, performer and multimedia artist. She has been involved in various productions, mainly associated with performance and documentary, and has developed projects in the areas of photography, installation and design at the same time.

Biography
As a trained actress, Cristèle Alves Meira began her career as a theater director. After her first two documentaries shot in Cape Verde and Angola, she directed two short fiction filmed in her mother's village in Tras-os-Montes.

Synopsis
Beneath the island's splendor moves a continuous cycle of violence. A child who arrives on the island and sees a sperm whale fly over Pico. A child who dreams of themselves as a baby on their mother's lap under the dragon trees. A man who pursues dogs that kill his sheep. The woman does not know how to look for science to cure her child. The dog that sees The Passion just like the volcano that didn't go extinct. Against this, only in the eyes of the dog and the child there is a promise of the future.
Biography
Margarida Gil (Portugal, Covilhã, 07/09/1950) graduated in Germanic Philology. In 1976, she participated in the creation of Grupo Zero, a film production cooperative, with Alberto Seixas Santos, Solveig Nordlund, João César Monteiro, Jorge Silva Melo and Acácio de Almeida, among others. She has been a contributor to RTP since 1975, where she has already signed several documentaries. She was also the president of the Portuguese Directors Association.

Synopsis
In summer, the Portuguese countryside is ravaged by fires. Otilia struggles between her job as a pool cleaner and the need to take care of her mother alone. Stunned by this suffocating daily life, the flames awaken in her solitude, despair, and the desire to escape.
Biography
Born in 1990, Aurélie Oliveira Pernet first trained in graphic design before undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema at HEAD - Geneva. Graduating with a Master’s degree in History and Aesthetics of Cinema from UNIL in 2019, she has since been developing her film projects. She is currently writing her first feature film.

Synopsis
Anna, an agency worker, searching through the discounted items, Anna wanders through the supermarket. As her groceries edge towards the checkout, her agency calls; she has lost her shift. The Shift aims to capture the vulnerable condition of a temporary worker and to reveal the immediate consequences of the dangerously short and ever-present distance separating employment and poverty, security and tumult.
Biography
Laura Carreira (born in Porto, 1994) is a Portuguese filmmaker based in Scotland. She completed an Audiovisual Communication Degree at the António Arroio School of Arts in Lisbon and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Film Directing at the University of Edinburgh. Her first film Red Hill was selected for various film festivals internationally and considered one of the best seven films at the 2019 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival by the International Film Magazine Sight & Sound.
