Synopsis:
The sound of drums echoes in São Domingos de Rana, Portugal, and the body vibrates in trance during the Umbanda ceremony. In the land of the colonizer, ancestrally defies death and colonialism and thus Aruanda resists.
Biography:
Renata Spitz, 29, is a Brazilian, screenwriter and director, with a degree in cinema from UFF and a master's from the Universidade Lusófona. She directed and wrote the short films: Encontro dos rios (2015), Ventania (2014), fiction, Debaixo do céu (2013). She directed and wrote the documentary series for Cinebrasil TV: Sintropia and Interiores. Her most recent work is the documentary true crime series O vampiro de Niterói, winner of the Latam Media Digital 2021 award.

Synopsis:
Women's voices rise to deliver testimonies of victims of sexual violence. Like a mosaic, the pieces stick together to build a unique story that could be that of any human. The images are meant to be a reappropriation of the female body in order to offer it a place as a body-subject and never again as a body-object.
Biography:
Marie-Lou Béland is a filmmaker (Director-Editor) who wants to break down and denounce the prejudices that are still too present in our society. Her past in the social environment tints her creations and her desire to meet others. Her greatest wish is to contribute to a creative and lively cinematographic environment (equal and equitable).

Synopsis
‘Harvesting Our Tea’ follows the journey of three rural women who face up to the challenges confronting Turkey’s tea industry, as they work to shape the future for generations to come.
Biography
Sheida is a British-Turkish-Iranian documentary filmmaker and composer based in London.
She conducted research on women and migration during her BSc Social Sciences studies at University College London (UCL). Through her experience of scoring for film, she often uses music as a tool to build narratives. Driven by her passion for ethnographic storytelling, her most recent work focuses on documenting women in agriculture and their rights to land ownership.

Synopsis
An essay film about a woman who does not fulfill her supposed biological purpose, thus seeking to redefine herself through her doubts, aspirations and insecurities.
Biography
Luísa Campino (Porto, 2000) joined the Degree in Sound and Image in 2018 at the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto. Throughout her career, she had the opportunity to participate in several projects in different areas of audiovisual, ending her degree with the short film “Hysteria”.

Synopsis
A female chimney sweeper gives insight into her experiences as a woman in a male-dominated profession. The behavior she encounters is very different from that experienced by her male colleagues.
Biography
Emma Braun lives and works in Vienna, Austria and Paris, France. She has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna since 2018 and spent a year at Villa Arson - École Nationale Supérieure d'Art in Nice as part of an exchange program.

Synopsis
The film attempts to show the spiritual world of carpet weaving - an ancient kind of craft of the nomadic people, passed down from generation to generation. Beliefs, thoughts, the process and the artistry of this case are revealed in the film "Oyum", which is a play on words and translated from Kyrgyz language as "my thoughts", as well as ornaments, patterns with which nomads decorate carpets and more.
Biography
Aidai Askarova born in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 2003. She is studying to be a director at Manas University for the second year. "Oyum" is Aidai's debut film, where she was a screenwriter, director, cameraman and editor.

Biography
Aracely Méndez (Mexico, 1984) is Tzeltal, feminist, sociologist, defender and filmmaker. She collaborates with CSOs, networks and groups that defend the human rights of migrant women and native people.
