| WORKSHOPS |

In this edition of Porto Femme, we bring you:

Over the course of three days, the filmmaker and artist Tânia Dinis will be leading one of the workshops featured in this edition of Porto Femme. "Staging Labour" is the name of her workshop, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. days April 23rd, 24th and 25th at MIRA | performing arts.

The workshop proposes an exploration of the mechanisms of erasure and invisibility that have shaped the representation of women in society; together, we will explore new ways of looking at the subject through the manipulation of image and sound in real time.

We’re teaming up with MUTIM once again to give some participants the chance to observe and analyse the various aspects of Porto Femme in practice. Anastasia Lukonikova, a researcher and film programmer, will be leading this second workshop we have organised for you.

After all, what is film programming? And who decides what we see?

From a feminist perspective, we propose looking at programming not only as a selection of films, but as a field of action where power, visibility, access, and forms of encounter are organised.
