Synopsis: 

'Black Chalk' is a film about the intimacy of a woman with Down’s Syndrome who writes with black chalk a list of daily activities to organize her life.

 Biography: 

Julieta Tetelbaum (Buenos Aires, 1990) is a queer film director, cinematographer, screenwriter and choreographer based in London & New York. The main themes of her work are: gender, feminism, childhood, violence, intimacy and sexuality. Her short films entitled "The Misfortune of Femininity" (2020) "Wake Up! It's Yesterday" (2021) and "Black Chalk" (2022) are part of the official collection of the Library of Congress of the Argentine Nation, have been officially selected at international film festivals and have been screened in several cities around the world.

Synopsis:

In democracies with freedom of expression, ordinary citizens are granted extraordinary protection. However, in the information sphere, this freedom comes with a very heavy obligation. The press, and the societal leaders they cover, should seek the truth as best they can; not to inflame or entertain, but to illuminate and educate. Sadly, there’s new pressure on information providers to deliver heat instead of shed light because technology and revenue streams are changing so rapidly. But despite the cultural and economic shifts, one thing will always matter: the truth.

 

Biography:

Dawn Westlake is president of Ron de Cana Prods, Inc. in Los Angeles. She has made 23 films since the year 2000 which have won 92 awards in international film festivals, along with honors from Canon USA, Inc. and JVC-Tokyo. Dawn is also an actress/writer/producer and has served on festival juries in the US, Italy, France and Portugal.

One night in October 2011, a mysterious dream gives birth to Cuco, a transgender latex pirate. 

Biography:

Hé·Alix Sanyas (Mourrier) aka H. (they/them) is a graphic designer & artist, committed to queer identities. It was during a complete course in applied arts at Estienne from 2006 to 2011 that H. becomes involved in trans-identity issues, and created OPÉ-TRANS, in collaboration with the association OUTrans, a project on the different feminising and masculinising operations for trans* people. In 2012, they entered the Beaux-Arts de Paris, and specialised in ceramics, installation and clubbed performances. At the same time, H. works on graphic design commissions for feminist circles and collaborators and belongs to several activist collectives, fighting for TransFagDykes community. Since 2018, they teaches graphic and editorial design, while continuing their transdisciplinary practice. In 2021, they directed their first short film: HERMAN@S (SiblingX), while  as a member of the inclusive typo-graphic research collective Bye Bye Binary they embarks on writing their next documentary on post-binary fonts!

Synopsis:

Human (Merel Baldé) is stuck in life. Challenged by her alter ego Blue, she steps out of her house. To the sounds of contemporary pop mixed with deep house and disco, lust is born and relationships burst. Enlightened, she continues on her path, the morning is sunny and her dance is an ode to the kaleidoscopic journey through the night that has lifted her up and brought her back to life. 

 

Biography:

Isis graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Maastricht in 2011. She played in various productions from Theater Group Amsterdam, Suburbia, Oostpool and Hartenjagers. She is one of the founders of the Performance Collective Bouillabaisse and she played in many films and television series such as ‘Deining’, ’App’, ‘Taart’, ’Weemoedt’ , De Gelukkig Huisvrouw, “Penoza’, “van God Los’ and the television series ‘Keizersvrouwen’. Isis is writing, developing and directing her own productions as well such as the short ‘F*CK MY LIFE’ which had it’s premiere at the annual Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht in 2020. Her second short ‘Diep in de Nacht’ is in post production and she is working on several other projects such as the short ‘Gleuf’ and the movie ‘Kerstmens’.

Synopsis:

In the year of 2020 when the world was forced to “change”, I wanted to confirm what changed and what did not change in me and wrote a poem “Transparent, I am.”. This film is based on it. The white mask I wore became the screen projected my past. My family are sometimes hurt and suffer, but support me who suffers from schizophrenia. Nonoho, Yuri, Nemu and Hana. The four of us live today to the fullest while looking for the answer to “Who are we?”

 

Biography: 

Yuri Muraoka was born in Tokyo in 1981. Dropped out of the high school attached to Japan Women's University, graduated the 26th class of Image Forum Institute of the Moving Image. Continues to create moving images and photographic works of "self-portraiture". All of her works are self-created and self-performed. Mother of two children.

In the beginning the mother carries the child and along the way it is possible that this pattern is

reversed. The child who has become an adult will bear his mother. It is a film without words. A mother and her son. Two bodies, one resplendent, the other assuming full maturity.

 

Biography:

Audrey Biche is a young talented cinematographer based in Paris. She received her bachelor’s degree in cinematography from the International School of Audiovisual Creation and Realization in Paris. ISeptember 2021 she flew to Los Angeles to join the American Film Institute. Her graduation film "ADELINE" won numerous awards in various festivals around the world.

Julie Magneville is a dancer, choreographer, and guest teacher. Her unique style is a complete frame of physicality, sensitivity, and perfect body awareness, always pushing her limits.

SOCIETY: a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution  into a more concentrated one.

In the experimental film Os-mo-sis, the protagonists turn diffusion around. They take shapes that are theirs, colors that are theirs. Then something happens. 


Biography:

Alissa Sophie Larkamp studied politics and media, completing her master’s degree in media studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Keen to make her own film projects, she attended Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, taking the film & sound degree programme at the Faculty of Design. She specializes in cinematography and montage and has been director of photography as well as editor for various film projects.

Emma-Mathilda Lipphaus works as a media educator and accompanies youth groups in concept and realisation of socio-political short films. She has been studying Film & Sound at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2018. She writes, produces and implements her own film projects.
