MUTIM - Women Workers of Moving Image - is an association of women working in cinema and audiovisual in Portugal founded in 2022.
They intend to promote equality in the sector, contributing to an equitable and realistic representation of women in the participation, conception, development, creation, production, dissemination and promotion of cinematographic and audiovisual works.
They see themselves as a tool to study, debate and boost the presence of women - in an intersectional way - in the cinema and audiovisual sector in Portugal.
They work towards generating critical thinking about how women are represented in cinema and audiovisual, believing that the stories and images produced today are the basis for the culture of the future.
