Synopsis
Ary Zara lives in limbo trying to understand who he really is. Refusing the gender binary categories that society imposes, at the age of 28 he decides to explore his identity by facing a physical and emotional transformation. A three-year journey revealing what is on the other side of the mirror of a deeply intimate process of self-discovery.
Biography
The documentary filmmaker makes her debut with the feature Ary. She also directed and edited the documentary Marcos. Daniela has a diverse background in directing by Kino-Doc and Universidade Aberta. She also worked as a producer in the short documentary 24 Memories per Second, premiered in DocLisboa 2018 and MoMA Doc Fortnight 2019.

With more time at home and less social contact, I found myself reflecting on my life in general. Introspectively and sometimes philosophically. It was then that I started to think about what most affects my life, both socially and professionally: Borderline Personality Disorder.

Synopsis
Director Inês Luís investigates a life that existed before her, revisiting home videos and photographs of her parents forgotten in the several houses she lived in. Not limiting herself to the contemplation of her inheritance, she longs to deconstruct it in an attempt to find answers, dwelling deeply into the past of the two people who, together, caused her existence.
Biography
Inês Luís was born in Porto. Her student short films have been screened and awarded in national and international film festivals and she currently works as a script supervisor and assistant director in short and feature films.

Simone de Beauvoir already said, "Being a woman is not a natural fact, but the result of a story". Útero explores the tortuous feminine path that aims not only to recognize one's own body, but also to acquire the consciousness of being a woman.
Biography
Joana Poltronieri is a Brazilian filmmaker, graduated in Social Communication with a specialization in Television from the FAESA University, in Brazil. She moved to Portugal in 2019 and started her Masters in Communication Sciences with a Specialization in Film and Television at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she had the opportunity to make the Short Film Útero (2020) for the Documentary discipline.

Synopsis
In the Amazon rainforest children live in deep intimacy with nature. Between the waters of the Pastaza River and the top of the trees, they run their daily lives almost autonomously and with a strong sense of collaboration.
Biography
Inês T. Alves studied Cultural Narratives at the Nova University of Lisbon (FCSH), Santiago de Compostela University (Spain) and Bergamo University (Italy). She also studied Documentary Film at the University of the Arts London, with a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’ Scholarship. Apart from her filmmaker career, she develops film workshops with different communities and all ages, having collaborated with several associations.

Synopsis
There are 14 stories crossed, superimposed, contrasted and placed in dialogue, 14 testimonies of life, resistance, dignity, which move us, challenge us, which sometimes cause us to laugh and sometimes make us swallow. In each woman, a story where multiple oppressions intersect. As a whole, a portrait of the country, of structures, of inequalities, but also of intelligence, courage, emancipation, of the struggle for happiness.
Biography
Raquel was born in Porto and is a daughter of the revolution. She is a filmmaker, writer, screenwriter, producer, citizen and mother.
