Synopsis:
In the mirror I see different places, different stories from times that are not mine. I adapt to an identity they want me to be. I'm made of layers and more layers of unknowns. I long to become a free shape.
Biography:
Bia is a 25 year old filmmaker and artist based in Lisbon, Portugal. Besides cinema, she works in the theater business as a designer, creator and performer. In 2022 she directed two short movies, ESPELHO EU and PRIMEIRO DE MAIO, in which she wrote, directed and edited both.

Synopsis:
"In the course of my cleaning duties, I examined the belongings of each hotel guest and observed through the details, lives that will remain unknown." says the temporary Chambermaid in a large seaside hotel, who, unable to relate, lives through a rigid methodology of analysis on the outside and a ritualized daily life. Until the uncontrollable comes to disrupt this dynamic. Hotel Royal is a fragmented and incomplete mosaic of contemporary societies. It could be called a film about the horrors of the soul, about voyeurs, or simply about misfits.
Biography:
Salomé Lamas (Lisbon) studied cinema in Lisbon and Prague, visual arts in Amsterdam and is a PhD student in contemporary art in Coimbra. Her work has been shown both in artistic contexts and in film festivals such as Berlinale, DocLisboa, Cinema du Réel, Visions du Réel, MoMA - Museum of Modern Art, Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Harvard Film Archive, Museu Serralves, Tate Modern, Mostra de São Paulo, La Biennale di Venezia Architettura, among others. She collaborates with Universidade Católica do Porto, with the production company O Som e a Fúria and is represented by Galeria Miguel Nabinho and Kubikgallery.

O Banho | The Bath

Synopsis:
A mother bathes her baby, while other children play with the water coming from the sprinklers. Between intimate and familiar images, something begins to unravel: spaces are transformed, allowing trauma to surface.
Starting from a personal memory and from the notion of water as a vital but also potentially destructive substance, "The Bath" takes us on an immersive journey through childhood’s states of perception, exploring the materiality of water in parallel with the materiality of film.
Biography:
Maria Inês Gonçalves studied film at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School and at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, with a grant from the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Her first short "O Meu Pijama" premiered at the Premiers Plans D’Angers Film Festival. She has worked in production management in films such as "The Metamorphosis of Birds" and "The Lamb of God". She is currently developing her first feature, a project selected for the NOKA Mentoring program at the Tabakalera Cultural Centre in San Sebastián.

Synopsis:
After three years of accumulated anger, sadness and jealousy, those feelings directed to their motherland, are all evicted into a farewell letter.
Biography:
Born in the Azores, São Miguel, Inês Vieira has always shown an interest in arts, which resulted in her taking part in acting classes and film acting workshops. Currently, she has a degree in Filmmaking, at Universidade da Beira Interior, with an interest in cinematography.
