Synopsis:
A Bird spies the pain of the world, silenced by the sphere in which it confines itself. Fruit of freedom’s essence, but without possession of it, the pair of wings takes comfort in the shadows
that dance between the cycle of life. After a tempting debate with his own reflection, the bird conquers the skies, judging himself free at last. But would that freedom be free? or an even bigger cage…
Biography:
Marta Ribeiro or asa (pseudonym) was born in Porto. Marta finished high school at Escola Artística
de Soares dos Reis, specializing in Multimedia and attended the course Animated Image at the University of Algarve.
Catarina Colaço is currently studying Animated Image at the University of Algarve. She has experience in 2d animation and concept art, with special interest in areas such as illustration, character design and background design.
A Nap In Fluoroscopy Buses | 间歇

Synopsis:
A fluoroscopy bus carries the crowd from the center to the edge of the city. In the fixed and crowded carriage, some passengers just boarding the bus collide with each other, and some passengers are taking a nap in their seats.
Biography:
Lei Lei, born in Ganzhou in 1994, graduated from China Academy of Art with a Master’s Degree in 2022. Her first film has been selected and screened at many international film festivals including Annecy, ASFF, and Raindance, and awarded The Best Animation Film at Porto Femme International Film Festival, China Independent Animation Forum Special Award, Her work was collected in the China Contemporary Animation Archives.

Synopsis:
A creature with a limbless body wants to get home. They magically appear and she moves. Arriving home, she sits on the couch drinking a beer and loses some of her gained limbs.
Biography:
Olívia Marques is a graduate of the Soares dos Reis Art School, having completed her Audiovisual Communication Course in the Multimedia - Animation Cinema Specialty. She is the director of the short film DARWINISM (2022), which was produced as her Proof of Artistic Aptitude.

Synopsis:
"Restless is the Night" revolves around two women: thirty-year-old Lin, a manager in a trading company; and twenty-year-old Fan, an intern at the same company. Set in modern-day China, the story explores the unwanted situations women find themselves in while navigating everyday urban life, and how they manage to find their way out.
Biographies:
Yuehan Tan is a Chinese storyteller and visual artist who concentrates on exploring social issues, humanity and cultural universality. Yuehan has an MFA in Animation from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree from Hong Kong Baptist University. Female, Children and Asian culture are the primary topics in her works.
Xiaoxue Meng, grew up in Jinan, China and currently based in Los Angeles, is an animation director and a graphic designer. She has a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in design as well as an MFA from the University of Southern California in Animation. She fell in love with storytelling in animation and has wanted to make the world a better place by doing what she could do - her recent work mainly focuses on social issues including gender inequality.

talk about the experience of being human and facing wounds.
Biography:
Carina is a multimedia artist graduated in Visual Arts at UNICAMP (University of Campinas), and a master’s student in Sound and Image with a specialization in Animation (EA-UCP). Her works are permeated by the interest in creating bodily, affective and intimate relationships with spectators, always with a special attention to the materialities she uses.

Synopsis:
A short film about bonds and gaps between a child and a parent. The author rediscovers letters that her father wrote to her in prison. That love seems to have disappeared. She decides to write back in the hope of finding the connection again. She writes down what could not be said, blaming her father for the separation of the family, but also trying to understand him.
Biography:
Diana Cam Van Nguyen is a Czech-Vietnamese director based in Prague.
Her bachelor film Malá / The Little One (2017) won several awards at festivals and competed for ECFA Doc Award at Berlinale 2019. Diana studies animation master programme at FAMU in Prague. In her works she focuses on personal topics through the means of animated documentary.

Synopsis:
The Big Sister – a person of colossal size – is trapped in sand in a deserted landscape. With no way to take care of herself, this burden falls on her resentful little sister. But The Big Sister keeps growing and sinking into her trap. Despite of The Little Sister’s attempts to stop it, she is left with one night to say goodbye and let go.
Biography:
Andrea Szelesová is a Slovak animator based in Prague. During her studies at FAMU she created films such as the anidoc 19 20 18 or the stop-motion Afternoon Tea, that was screened at festivals such as Anifilm or OIAF. She worked on the feature animation film My Sunny Maad (dir. Michaela Pavlátová) and created jingles for Anifilm and Anilogue 2019. She is currently working with Alkay Animation and preparing her next animated short film.
